UWAC 2016 | Building Perspectives
For its eleventh annual conference and fourth year in downtown Toronto, UWAC exposed its delegates to an interesting field in accounting – the financial evaluation of a M&A transaction. The conference theme, “Building Perspectives”, encouraged delegates to assess every business decision from multiple perspectives in order to maximize profits and minimize risks. The case, which focused on the various issues that arise after a M&A deal, challenged delegates to analyze the problem from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective and determine how the company could best position itself in order to ensure a successful expansion.
