When will UWAC 2010 be taking place?
This year, UWAC 2010 will be taking place from April 30th, 2010 to May 2nd, 2010. The conference will take place over the course of three days including two nights at the Waterloo Inn Conference Hotel.
Who can attend UWAC?
We welcome any university or college student who has an interest in accounting, finance, business, or even the current recession to register for our conference. This isn’t just an accounting conference; we cover topics that are important for everyone!
How much does the conference cost?
The cost of the conference is $200.
What do I need to bring to the conference?
You will need to bring business casual and business formal wear for the two days, as well as proper attire for a semi formal and casual clothes for the Sunday of the conference. As well, there is a deposit on the hotel which is equivalent to $75, in either cash or credit card.
What are the food options at the conference?
At the conference, delegates will be able to choose between regular, vegetarian, and halal meals.
Can I apply individually?
Of course! You'll have the opportunity to meet a large number of new faces!
When can I choose my team?
UWAC offers delegates the opportunity to work with new individuals. As such, your team will be chosen randomly to maximize the real world experience you will gain at the conference.
Where do I stay during UWAC?
Your delegate fee of $200 covers an all inclusive stay at the Waterloo Inn Conference Hotel. This includes all meals, a room for two nights, and transportation between venues!
Can I opt out of the hotel during the conference?
Unfortunately, delegates are not permitted to opt out of the hotel. All delegates are expected to stay at Waerloo Inn on both Friday and Saturday. If alternate arrangements need to be made, please contact a coordinator as soon as possible.
How do I choose my roommates?
Approximately a month from the conference, a form will be sent to all delegates asking them to specify roommates.
How many roommates can I select?
Each delegate can select one roommate, of the same gender, that he or she would like to room with. Two pairs of roommates will be grouped together so that delegates have the opportunity to meet one another. Keep in mind that you do not need to select a roommate - you'll get to meet more people!
What if I don’t have a roommate?
Don’t worry, if you do not have someone you want to room with, we will gladly pair you up with someone else.
